Objectives:

• Identify industries in US, in which inventory is important.

• Identify industries in US, in which Inventory isn't important

Industries in US in which inventory is important (based on inventory to total asset ratio)

1. Consumer discretionary industry was the first in finding inventory important.
2. Consumer staple industry was second to find inventory important, with a median inventory/total ratio of 0.12.
3. Within the consumer discretionary industry, the Consumer Durable-Apparel sub-industry was first to find inventory important.
4. Within consumer discretionary industry, the consumer-retailing sub-industry to find inventory important.
